Christology from the perspective of an African Anthropologist –E.M. Uka (2002)

In the thrid lecture delivered on Saturday, January 26, 2002, Rev. Professor E.M. UKa, a close friend and associate of Bassey Andah, attempts to capture the various dimensions and expressions of Bassey Andah’s life as teacher, University administrator, reliable friend, Christian gentleman and above all, prominient scholar of African Anthropology and cultural history. Few who knew professor Bassey Andah intimately can’t but agree with this assessment of the man.

Professor Uka assesses Bassey Andah’s contributions in the fields of African Archaeology, Anthropology and History, always emphasizing Professor Andah’s stress on the primacy of the African factor in shaping the African historical experience especially during the pre-colonial period.
